quizzes, tests, papers, oh my! College can definitely feel overwhelming at times, but it's all in the way you manage it.
on that note, learning how to manage school can help in managing your life.
for instance, get your work done, and THEN go out at night.
If you're not 18, wait!
^^^ or be smart about where you go, make sure you can't get caught. lol
Don't get drunk your first time ever drinking.
And when you drink, be with people you know and trust (people out there can take advantage easily, if you make it easy for them)
TRUE STORY:
I was in my room last night and I heard some noise out in the hall, so I went to go check it out. Well it was a friend of mine and two of his guy friends with two of his girl friends. all loud. all sweaty, all drunk.
one of the guys was half naked walking around pelvic thrusting the air, the oldest was really not that drunk, and my friend was trying to get everyone to be quiet. Chick #1 was trying to convince me that halfnaked boy was hot, and that she should bang him cause he kissed her. and chick #2 want to go to "Mac-Dawn-aldssss."
They were out in the hall cause Chick #1 didn't have her key and chick #2 is just visiting so she doesn't have it either. The roommate was out, and they couldn't get in. -__-
My friend was going through #1's phone to call the roommate or the suitemate but he couldn't dial for crap, which is where I took over. at this point, my friend gave his key to older guy and told him to take half naked guy upstairs and get him to go to sleep. with those two out of the way, chick #1 wanted to chase half naked guy and let him take advantage... no bueno. my friend kept having to hold her back and finally she was sitting on the floor shoes off saying she was so drunk, and this had never happened to her before... (aka first time). Chick #2 had to pee so bad, I let her use my bathroom.
Finally we get into the room and the chicks won't shut up! Friend gets them both into bed, then we walk out.
Older guy comes back telling friend that he has to get back upstairs cause half naked guy threw up in his sink -____-
So they went back upstairs and I got a thank you text for helping them get away with this.
So for future reference, drink responsibly, know your limits, and be super careful in general...
Hopefully this or worse won't ever happen to me...

cool right? wrong.

saturday night, lol wow.
So saturday night was the first night Krystyna really hung out with us, so we decided to go out. . . yea ok.
We start out by going to the strip, and the Irish Pub was the intended destination, even though I dont drink.. =/ well there were cops outside of the pub, so we turned around. lol Floyd's was the next plan but since 3 of us are 17 we couldn't get in. so we call a cab. there was 8 of us so we had to get 2 and they took us to this frat party. cool right?  wrong.
by the time we got to the frat party the people were leaving and the few that were left were playing coke pong, the not so popular alcohol-less version of beer pong. so my friends were not trying to stay there. lol there was a random party bus in the street so we hopped on, yea sketchy but they're funded to transport anyone who might need the ride for free.
So the bus took us to this place called Mint. It just so happens Mint has a dresscode and a very strict bouncer, so we didn't even try to get in, we called another cheaper cab, discount transportation. lol The lady is so nice, and efficient, she got there in less than 4 minutes and took us back to the dorms.
Basically we club hopped without actually club hopping. lmao.
the life of freshmen. . . oh well! better luck next time.

the best part =]

Classes are great! The campus is amazing! The food is fantastic! The people are phenomenal! I love college!
I'm getting along great with everyone, being friendly to anyone, and having fun being this way.
My courses are pretty interesting, not hard at all, and I enjoy them, which is the best part.
Today Krystyna and I just can't help but laugh at dumb stuff, and we hang out normally, we both enjoy the other's company and we are perfect roommates. I'm pretty sure if we could, we'd stay roommates for fall and spring.
My boyfriend visited! He found his place and enrolled in school and we spent as much time as we could together. I can't wait until he moves up here!
College is pretty damn sweet! stay tuned!

so it's all good...

A first! I went to a club tonight called 20/20 and it was tons of fun!
I went with my new friend Alexis, and her friend, but we met up with other people there, including Adri.
Of course since my boyfriend is home I don't dance with guys, but I have so much fun dancing by myself anyways, so it's all good.
The downside to not being with your boyfriend (besides not being with your bf) and saying no is that some guys don't take no for an answer. They act idiotic and say things like "WHOOOOOOAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! WHy not??!!" and then you get the begger that says "oh come on, just one? no? fine! not even if I beg you??" oh and there is also the one that comes back later thinking you forgot you said no and that just because the time changed you miraculously want to dance now. lmao.
Let's just say my boyfriend was terribly missed. I had a great time though, and tons of laughs, stories to tell my boyfriend. Tomorrow night should be great too!

better than I thought...

I'm all moved in!!!
So college is definitely better than I thought it would be.
My roommate is Krystyna and our neighbors are Adrianne and Alexis. Let's just say they are people I would have chosen to be next to, lol (They're awesome.)
The dorm is spacious. comfortable, and I'm in love.
Yea I miss the fam, but that's expected. for now I'm just chillin... Stay tuned for the adventures of Felicia. =]

tonight as a matter of fact...

So the plans changed and now I'm leaving a day earlier. Tonight as a matter of fact. Oh goodness. In about 9 hours, I'll be on my way to my new home, new school, and new life.
I'm actually getting excited now! =]

Need A Distraction...

I haven't been sleeping well. Maybe its the changes, or maybe its cause I'm sleeping on the couch.
I don't know. But I need a distraction. Something to make me not think about how I'm going to leave in a few days.

Seminoles =]

Not even there yet.

So I had a breakdown... and I'm not even there yet.
I don't know, I guess it just all hit me at once.
I don't want to go away and be alone. Who can I turn to when something happens? My family will stay here, my best friends are going to different colleges, my boyfriend is going to move up in a month and while my roommate's cool, I wonder if she can handle a crazy person like me.
I'm a bit random, and I am very very hyper, and I wonder if that will be too much for her. Not to mention she's only my roommate for 6 weeks, and I don't even have a way of speaking to my fall roommate.
Then on the other hand, I want my independence. I want to be able to leave the room without 5 people asking me where I'm going. I want to be on my own and establish my responsibilities away from my parents. I want to be able to stay out late, even if I come home early. I want the ability, the freedom. But I don't want to be alone.
I'm a mind full of contradictions.
Great, now I sound like Hamlet.
Then there's the stress of adjusting to college life. New home, New classes, New people.
It all hit me at once, But I got over it.
I pushed those fears away.
They are menial. They don't matter.
Whether I'm ready or not, I start college on wednesday, so I might as well get ready right? right.
I can do this, I know I can. I just have to rid myself of the normal fears that everyone has at some point. I'm a great student, a giving friend, a normal girl. A girl who shouldn't worry about the small things. Of course my roommate can handle me, I'm not psychotic. Yea I'll be on my own, but I have to do it at some point. There's always skype, texting, and calling. Facebook is good for a lot of things these days so I'll be fine.
The hard part is convincing my mom of that...

9 days left

so I have exactly 9 days left at home before I leave for college and start a whole new world.
scary...
I'm not exactly sure whether to be super excited or super scared. I mean, I am leaving my family behind to continue my education 6 and a half hours away. If there's anything exciting and scary at the same time, it's definitely this.
I'll be on my own.
New stranger sleeping in the bed next to me.
New classes where no one will know me.
New teachers who don't recognize me from around campus.
New friends I have to make.
A whole NEW life I have to create and grow.
and I'm not even 18 yet.
They say I should be excited, well I guess that part will come later.
For now, I'm trying to learn how to live without my support group 5 minutes away.
